Campaign for Fairtrade

Posted: 09 Dec 11 | By: NG Team

Who knew young people could be organised?

The group at Bilborough College in Nottingham have 40-50 people who come along to their group and are up for making a difference! Their great organisational skills are really helping them! They have a core team and one person in particular who is very organised. The group have a 4 week ‘rolling plan’ which includes: inward focus(teaching, speaker), prayer & testimony focus, outreach focus and socials.

They did a social action outreach earlier this year for Stop the Traffik[1], by setting up a stall to get people to sign up to campaign for Fairtrade Nestle chocolate. When people questioned their motives, they said, ‘as Christians we believe God sets people free so no one should be in slavery!’

Well done Billborough College!
