Girls Act at Assembly

Posted: 26 Jan 11 | By: NG Team

This is a testimony about the CU at King Edward VI Handsworth in Birmingham.

The members were very shy from the beginning when they started their New Generation group, but after a lot of praying the group became a safe place for the Christian students in the school to grow in their faith.

After a while the group decided to do something big, something unexpected. They decided to perform the Lifehouse sketch from YouTube at the Christmas assembly. The girls were really nervous because they’d never done a performance in front of the whole school before.

Jessica Brown, one of the CU leaders, wrote to the Central Team on Facebook saying that the outreach went amazingly!! …and that everything was perfect, and that afterwards, the headmistress had said it was the best assembly ever!
