“Best gap year I could do”Posted: 25 Mar 11 | By: NG Team
Jenny tells us why teaming with NG is the best thing she’s ever done!
Jenny’s a international girl with many projects in the air. Amongst other things, she has a huge interest in travel, new people, all things environmentally friendly, and she only buys second hand clothes! But something that she’s even more passionate about is to see seeing young people living for Jesus, and she’s been helping them do just that as part of our South Team for the last two years. Here’s what Jenny had to say:
“When I spend 20 hours on the M4 one week, listen to radio chatting and laughing with my Team mates, I know that teaming is the best I have done. When I see young people taking the step to take Jesus to their school, I know that teaming is the best thing I have done. When I get to see the Tower Bridge in London, the cool stone wall in Canterbury, and the wonderful views in Wales all in the same week, I know that teaming is the best thing I have done. When I get to hear stories about young people handing out the word of God in their school, I know for sure that teaming is the best thing I have done. When I get to eat at Nando’s in Chelmsford, McDonald’s by Heathrow, and Pizza Hut in Cheltenham, I know that teaming is the best thing I have done. When I sit down every week at Starbucks and inspire a group of teenagers to live out their faith in college, then I know that teaming is the best thing I have done. When I get to work with people from all over the world, I know that teaming is the best thing I have done. When I get to be in an environment with other Christians and learn more about the Bible and God, I know that teaming is the best thing I have done. And these are just a few of the reasons why I know that teaming with New Generation was the best choice of gap year I could possibly do.”
