We’re here!

The new school year has finally taken off for real, and all of us at NG hope you’re as excited about that as we are!

We’d like to start off by encouraging you to step out and be visible this year. Let people know that you’re here. We believe this is so important, because your classmates already know where to find the destructive stuff – they know where to find alcohol, they probably know where to find drugs, and all of the other things that are bad for them, but a lot of them actually don’t know where they can find Christians. And that’s where you guys come in; because we believe that everyone should at least know where they can find Christians, and know where they can find God in school.

Now, you might think that your classmates aren’t interested in finding out more about God, but fact is that 85% of young people today are interested in faith, but most of them just don’t know where to find out more! It might be too big of a step for them to go into a church and ask the questions that they desperately want to be answered, but what if they could ask someone in their school? It might be easier for them to talk to you. That’s why we believe that advertising is so important.

So make your Christian Union known in your school and reach out to your friends this year. Be visible. You can be the change that your school needs, and it all starts with letting them know that your there.

“You are the Light of the world- like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden. No-one lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket. Instead, the light is placed on a stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father”
If you were thinking of advertising your group or an event your group is holding with a poster, perhaps there’s one on NG+ you want to use. Head over to newgeneration.co.uk/ngplus-outreach to check them out! All our resources are free to download.
